Heat Pipe Waste Heat Boiler: Turning Low-Temperature Exhaust into Usable Steam
Our waste heat recovery system moves past the technical bottleneck of traditional industrial waste heat boilers. Using efficient new heat exchange materials, durable heat transfer elements and optimized exchanger arrangements, it pursues high energy recovery, stable operation, low investment and low running cost. The equipment is compact and needs little floor space, and it can be matched to new projects or installed simply as a retrofit on existing plants.

How the heat pipes work
- Two media, no mixing. Heat is transferred twice through the heat pipe wall between the two media, and the fluids never mix. One or even several heat pipes can fail without interrupting continuous, stable operation of the unit.
- Single-pass, low resistance. Both media flow outside the heat pipe surfaces in a single pass, keeping medium resistance low.
- Self-cleaning. The media flow across the heat pipe bundle, so the surfaces are scoured by the flowing gas and stay free of build-up and clogging.
- Low-temperature recovery. The minimum temperature difference required for heat transfer is small, which is what makes recovering low-temperature waste heat possible.
- Stress-free service life. Heat pipe elements are fixed on the inner drum wall and hang freely in the flue duct, so thermal expansion and cold contraction are unrestrained, no stress damage occurs and service life is long.
Controlling acid dew point corrosion
The heat exchange area between the cold and hot media can be adjusted according to the specific operating conditions of your equipment. This changes the surface temperature distribution of the elements and avoids low-temperature acid dew point corrosion.
Output and effect
Heat pipe waste heat boiler technology recovers the sensible heat carried in low-temperature exhaust streams and returns it as low-pressure saturated steam for production and domestic use, reducing fuel consumption and cutting the pollutant load in flue gas emissions at the same time.
Frequently asked questions
Can it be added to an existing plant?
Yes. The unit is compact and can be installed simply on old plants as a retrofit, as well as matched to new projects.
What happens if heat pipes fail?
The two media never mix, and one or several tube failures do not affect continuous, stable operation.
What steam does it produce?
Low-pressure saturated steam recovered from the sensible heat of the exhaust, available for production and domestic use.
What data do you need from us?
The exhaust gas flow, temperature and composition, and the steam pressure and quantity your process can use.
